The CLE dataset is the single largest dataset of constituency-level elections results around the world. It includes election results for over 1000 elections, which have occurred in more than 60 countries around the world between 1944-2007. Together these elections total over 50,000 electoral districts and include legislative elections for lower and upper houses at the national level of government. The dataset incorporates a number of sub-national elections as well. The results include vote and seat data for all parties that participate in an election even if they win only a single vote. The total number of political parties in the dataset exceeds 5,000.
